Last night was my Spring Concert, or rather, the last concert of the year. Since my choir teacher is retiring after this year, my choir made it extra special for her. The songs we sang were:
-O my Love/ The Winter Now is Over (Rounds)
-Tradition (from Fiddler on The Roof)
-Simple Melody
-Pick-a-Little (from The Music Man)
-Putting On The Ritz
-Waitin' For The Light (from Big River)
Obviously it was "Broadway Musical" themed and my favorite was "Simple Melody," but the only song that was recorded was "Waitin' For The Light" so I'll try to upload it on. After "Pick-a-Little" I had a solo where I sang "Once Upon a Dream" (from Sleeping Beauty); however, I have had a cold this past week, so I just hope I sang it well! All that considering, I really enjoyed my last concert of the year and I think that it's somewhat sad that it is the final one with this choir. My classmates sure are talkers! But that's what makes them so fun. =D

Here piggy piggy!
Okay, to start off, I think that this "swine flu" thing is just going too far. So many classmates at my school are going waaaaay far away from the truth, and there are so many rumors going around such as, "the swine flu is going to kill us all!" or "oh no, I have the swine flu and lots of people have already died of it!" Well, I personally think that the news people were looking for a story and when they heard about the people in Mexico dying of the flu, they brought it over as an "end of the world" kind of thing. Granted, it is very sad that people ARE dying, but I really think that the people here are too hygenic (ok maybe not everyone) to first of all GET the flu, and then DIE of it. Some people are just too... panic-stricken. Also, its started to get ridiculous; because, in almost every single one of my classes it was brought up. Anyway, it's kind of amazing that there are actually those who are so afraid that they cause exploded rumors and make everyone else nervous as well. You know, the people who run around screaming "The apocalypse is coming! It's the end of the world! We are all going to die!" that kind of stuff. Not literally of course, but I'm sure we all know someone like that. =)

Lions, Tigers, Bears, Oh My!
Okay, maybe I didn't see lions. And the tigers weren't on display. And the bears were sleeping in the corner where you could not see them. But even so, the Zoo was fun! I went with my cousins and my family and I took LOTS of pictures ( be prepared). First of all, I sometimes feel kind of sorry for the animals, after all, they have lots of people staring at them, just staring. For example, the penguins. The area we live in is cold and dry in winter, and hot and dry in summer, whereas they are used to freezing, wet areas. Also, most of the animals look tired or bored. However, I like the Zebras and the Giraffes especially, because they seem the most interested in the people, and they are used to the hot/dry temperatures there. Another thing is, the tigers all seem to be going extinct! There is a list of the different kinds, and how m,any there are in zoos and in the wild. quite of few of the names had "Extinct" next to them. =( Anyway, I still enjoyed the zoo, and I know they do their best to keep the animals happy, so I'm alright with it. =D

Evil Cold Virus!!!

Being sick is no fun at all! For the past few days I have had a stuffy nose, been coughing, had bloody noses, a sore throat, and some aches. I am feeling a little better today, so I am happy about that! Hopefully I don't get anyone else sick, because it has been pretty miserable, but even so, I am very grateful to be reminded of how good it is when I feel completely healthy!
